Seek the blessings of the Goddess of Shakti

Goddess Durga- the embodiment of love, affection care and strength is worshipped and prayed all over India. During Navratras she is worshipped in almost all her manifestations. The various manifestations depict her in all forms.

The Navratris festivals mark the coming of Goddess and those nine days which are blissful and amazingly beautiful.  Durga is the Goddess of Shakti. This festival is celebrated twice in a year. Once in the month of Chaitra and it’s known as Chaitra Navratra which falls in the month of March or April and Second Navratra is in the month of October or November.

Navratri also call Sharad Navratri , Chaitra Navratri ninth day is celebrated as Ram Navami , after Sharad Navratri next day is celebrated as Dussehra / Vijayadashami . Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga.

People welcome the Goddess with immense pleasure and gaiety. The whole atmosphere resonates with the sounds of “Jai Mata Di”,  people wish each other and seek blessings from the Goddess.

To show their care and love for each other, people wish each other with Shubh navratri wishes in Hindi or English. The many quotes and messages which are beautifully written welcoming and praising the Goddess are exchanged. Various messages are also shared which have quotes of the goddess’s blessings.

People keep fasts and get soaked in mata rani’s bhajas and kirtans. The immense faith of people for mata gives them the strength and energy to sing and dance in praise of the Goddess.

These nine days the atmosphere abuzzes with the glory of ou Goddess. Streets are decorated, markets and various shops are also decorated. These days are considered to be very auspicious. People plan all their major tasks whether it is fixing a marriage, buying a property, buying a car or anything of value to them during these days.

Some people also consider it auspicious to have navaratri status. The various navratri special status are as follows
